At what cost

History is wonderful, I love history you  might say I love history because most of the people in history cannot argue with you and thus might believe that you are on safe ground. However you would be mistaken.

History has it’s defenders who will take you are on and fight you just as strongly the 300 brave Spartans did at Themopoli.

How often have you read poems or stories  of noble death in History,  Byron, Yeats, Shakespeare, other remarkable people like Nelson of Trafalgar, the hero’s of Culloden  fallen for country and king.

What a crock of crap. There is nothing Nobel,  glorious or good about death. millions died untimely deaths wasted lives because of National pride and personal greed for a creed. Monarchy’s, oligarchy, republicanism democracy, theocracy  dictatorships all guilty of bringing about death of millions of lives.

Did ever a mother with her son or daughter upon her knee dedicate the young child to death by reasoning in her mind he will die in war, or he will be a dictator he will be hated by millions, or reason in her mind this girl of mine will be a slave or a whore. I think not for surly she would not have forgot to mention it.

What history fails to do is feel the pain of the dead it’s insane we should feel the pain of those who have gone before.

The sounds of the screams of fear, the echo’s of blood in the decks of wooden ships how the heck do you come to grips. Jesus died on a Cross for all but even his great work for the redemption of mankind has been corrupted. Now powerless because men would rule in God’s stead and God must retire to his heavenly bed. No no the blood that was shed for me will never, never loose it’s power.

So we tend to forget the lessons of history and where we come from because we fear repeating our mistakes and that’s the reason why we do repeat our mistakes.

One a personal level we repeat our mistakes because we think web can get away with it or we van change the outcome.

We cannot because our lives are mapped and charted to the very end. We can make life better by changing our mind set.

Should everyone wake up tomorrow and say today ten act’s of random kindness I will do, the results of million doing this will indeed have universal repercussions.

Jesus was born in a stable be thankful you rose from a bed this day.

Now if a man born in a stable can change the world think what you can do with your life.

Carpe Deum Cease the day change the world make your mark burn it deep in the history of the wood of the world.

At what great cost have you come here? On how many shoulder’s do you stand today. How man dead lie below unloved, forgotten, unknown lives of peasants ancestors have  gone before who had not lived would mean that you would not be?

So saith many I have the blood of kings in my veins true it might be but also in your body flows to that thick low born stuff that has flowed and fallen on ships decks, on battle fields, and at death and birth down the gutters and crap pots of history.

The Beatitudes be the  attitude and change your life change the world.
